2nd Ammendment Powder Horn

During the American Revolutionary War, the powder horn was essential equipment for every soldier who used a firearm. The rifleman carried his firelock, hunting pouch, and a horn to carry gunpowder. They were usually made from cow or ox horn.
My version of this iconic tool is representative of the many styles created before and during the Revolutionary War. Hand sculpted all around and cast into Sterling Silver, mine gives special emphasis to the 2nd Amendment by way of the numeral “2” inscribed on the back side of the pendant.
The pendant measures 1 and 3/8 inches in length and is suspended from a 21 inch, 2mm leather cord secured with a Sterling Silver clasp.

About this blog

PATRIOT DREAMS
This, as the heading implies, is a blog to honor the founders of these United States. It will be, to all that happen upon it, a reminder of how and why our great nation was founded. You will read the thoughts of the men whose shoulders we stand upon. You will read the words they have written and passed down to us, and hopefully you will recognize their wisdom, their Divine leadership, and realize the need for each of us to carry on with their noble and revolutionary ideals. Additionally, we will feature the sterling silver creations of Master Gold & Silversmith, Alan Folger.
